
THIS
TETHER SWITCH CAN BE MOUNTED 2 DIFFERENT WAYS:
1.
IT CAN BE
MOUNTED IN THE HOLE IN THE STEERING STEM (SEE HOLE-MOUNTED INSTALLATION BELOW); OR
2.
IT CAN BE
MOUNTED TO ANY 6MM THREADED HOLE THAT HAS A FLAT SURFACE TO BOLT TO (AN EXAMPLE
WOULD BE THE PINCH BOLTS FOR THE CLUTCH OR FRONT BRAKE LEVER) (SEE FLAT-MOUNT
INSTALLATION ON REVERSE).
HOLE-MOUNTED INSTALLATION:

TO
MOUNT USING THE HOLE-MOUNT METHOD, SLIDE TETHER SWITCH INTO STEERING STEM AND
TIGHTEN BOLT (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN 85 IN. LBS. MAX.) *IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO HOLD THE SWITCH AT AN ANGLE IN THE
HOLE TO APPLY PRESSURE AND ALLOW THE BOLT TO TIGHTEN.
REMOVE LEFT SIDE DASH PANEL. TRACE WIRES COMING FROM RIGHT SIDE EMERGENCY KILL SWITCH TO BLACK 10 WIRE CONNECTOR LOCATED UNDER LEFT SIDE DASH PANEL (SHOWN IN PHOTO).
LOCATE
ORANGE WIRE WITH WHITE TRACER. CUT
WIRE, LEAVING ENOUGH ROOM TO STRIP BACK INSULATION ON EACH END AND INSTALL BUTT
CONNECTORS (SUPPLIED IN KIT) TO EACH END OF CUT WIRE. (NOTE: IT MAY BE
NECESSARY TO CUT BACK BLACK SLEEVE ON THE STOCK HARNESS TO GAIN MORE ACCESS TO
ORANGE & WHITE WIRE.)
INSTALL (2) WIRES FROM TETHER TO THE (2) BUTT
CONNECTORS.

TY-RAP
WIRES IN PLACE. IT IS BEST TO TY-RAP
WIRES FROM TETHER TO THE TRIPLE CLAMP OR IGNITION SWITCH SO THE WIRES DO NOT
FLEX AT THE SWITCH WHEN THE STEERING IS TURNED, CAUSING THEM TO BREAK FROM
FATIGUE.
REINSTALL LEFT SIDE DASH PANEL.
WITH ENGINE RUNNING, REMOVE TETHER TO TEST. IF YOU ARE USING THE TETHER SWITCH AS A MASTER SWITCH, ALWAYS PULL OUT THE PLUG BY THE PLUG ITSELF AND NOT THE CORD. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE WIRE AND PLUG.
